"Citrus Blossom SMaSH Ale Mead INGREDIENTS 4.5 lbs Orange Blossom honey 2.25 lbs Pilsner LME oz Citra hops Wyeast 1388 Belgian Strong Ale Yeast DESCRIPTION This refreshing Citrus Blossom SMaSH Ale Mead blends the floral notes of Orange Blossom honey with the crispness of Pilsner malt and the vibrant character of Citra hops. Ideal for those warm days, this mead offers an alluring combination of citrus and tropical fruit flavors, making it a perfect companion for any gathering. DIRECTIONS Sanitize all equipment thoroughly to ensure a clean brewing process. In a large pot, combine 1.5 gallons of water with the Pilsner LME and heat to dissolve the extract, then remove from heat. Stir in the Orange Blossom honey until fully integrated, then cool the mixture to around 70°F to 80°F. Once cooled, add the Citra hops to the must and allow them to steep for 30 minutes to hour for maximum flavor infusion. Strain the must into a fermentation vessel, discarding the hops, and then pitch the Wyeast 1388 yeast."
