Hearty Beef and Vegetable Stew

"Hearty beef, potatoes, and buckwheat stew with vegetables, using beef chunks instead of chicken. Include 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon sweet paprika, 1 bay leaf, and add 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary. Keep the other ingredients similar: 1 lb beef chunks, 1 cup buckwheat groats, 3 cups beef broth (instead of chicken broth), 2 medium carrots diced, 2 celery stalks diced, 2 medium potatoes peeled and diced, 1 medium onion chopped, 3 cloves garlic minced, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and black pepper to taste. Optionally include Worcestershire sauce for depth of flavor."
